Chinese Travel Abroad Increases

Mainland tourists spent $42 billion overseas last year

China's statistics from 2009 are expected to show its first deficit in tourism, due to a weak global economy and a strong travel incentive at home, a senior researcher said.

Beijing-based wiki site Hudong.com has begun to offer its services to overseas Chinese, reports DoNews quoting site CEO Pan Haidong.

Hudong.com has partnered several sites before releasing its overseas service, including Sina's (Nasdaq:SINA) North American channel and other overseas Chinese-language sites, said the report.
